Benefits of joining the AMM
Joining the AMM has the following benefits:
- regular newsletter by email
- access to the members' pages of this site (almost all the pages are now
restricted to members)
- ability to find contact details for most other AMM members
- rapid dissemination of important information about the practice of microbiology
in the UK
- free copies of AMM publications (paper or electronic)
The AMM is increasingly being seen by the Department of Health and other
organisations as the best way to disseminate information to and seek the views
of microbiologists in the UK - far more so than the Royal College or the HPA!
The AMM is therefore your means to discuss new national initiatives and
plans, and to ensure that comments from a national organisation set up to
support microbiologists and promote microbiology in the UK are heard.
