About the AMMThe Association of Medical Microbiologists was formed in 1983. It is a professional body concerned with all aspects of medical microbiology and infection in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. Over 500 senior and trainee members of the profession from university departments of medical microbiology in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, the Health Protection Agency in England, as well as those from the National Health Services and Armed Forces of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland are now members of the association.
